of reputation

Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution,
whether it be to the emperor as supreme,or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.  For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.  Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.  Honor everyone.  Love the brotherhood.  Fear God.  Honor the emperor.  1 Peter 2:13-17

With Your counsel You will guide me,
And afterward receive me with honor.  Psalm 73:24

The LORD’s curse is on the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the dwelling of the righteous.

Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.

The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.

Proverbs 3:33-35

LORD, no matter what trials I must endure this year, no matter where I am, nothing matters because I have You.  I hold this word, honor, in my hands and know that it is all about You, Father.  Not me.  I am the one to honor You in all I say…in all I do…in all I am.  From the moment I awaken until that time when sleep overtakes me each night, I so desire to honor You in ways that please You.  I hold obedience and respect and reverence high in my mind for they are words that pronounce honor to me in order that I can honor You.  I pray for diligence on my part to follow Your will for my life, for my walk.  I pray for wisdom that I would be the woman You have created, thereby actually inheriting honor for myself as You say in Proverbs 3.  Oh, Father God, You have given me so very much and have loved me from the very first.  I want to and will honor You as best as this human can.  By Your Holy Spirit, I will be able to be guided in the paths of righteousness, to seek Your will, to serve You as I am, to honor You because You are my Father, because I love You so.  In the Name of Jesus, I lift my prayer to You, LORD.  Amen.

To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.  1 Timothy 1:17
